6.3.2 IN SWITZERLAND:

TRANSITGAS REVERSE FLOW (FROM THE PASSO GRIES INTERCONNECTION POINT TO THE WALLBACH AND OLTINGUE INTERCONNECTION POINTS) The Transitgas pipeline in Switzerland is currently dedicated to transport gas from Germany and France towards Italy and at the same time to satisfy the Swiss gas mar- ket needs. In order to implement the physical reverse flow, Transitgas has obtained the necessary permits to make the required modifications to its transmission system and is ready to start construction. The Transitgas reverse flow project from Passo Gries to Wallbach envisages the modifications and expansion of three main system facilities in order to allow physi- cal reverse flow: \\ Ruswil compressor station; \\ Lostorf interconnection station; \\ Wallbach metering station. Permits have already been received, and engineering, design phases and tender are the next steps to start.
